REWARD OFFERED BY POLICE

WOMAN AND BOY KILLED NEAR WAIHI (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 19. A reward of £5OO is offered by the Government for material information about the person who caused the deaths of Mrs Alice Elizabeth Hamilton, aged 27, and the boy, Lloyd Moran, both of Waikino, on the main Paeroa-Waihi highway on the night of April 2. Accomplices who did not actually cause the deaths and who proffer conclusive evidence against the guilty person are promised indemnity against prosecution. This notification follows slightly more than a fortnight of widespread inquiry by detectives from Auckland and Hamilton in the Waihi-Thames area. A thorough canvass of private and public garages in many districts was without any tangible result.
