Nelson Eddy did not lose any prestige by his defeat in the Centennial Handicap at New Brighton. The crack four-year-old stepped 2min 7 4-ssec—-equal to 2min ssec from a flying start—and was only half a length behind Lightning Lady, one of the fastest sprinters seen in the Dominion in recent years.
