WOMEN’S DIVISION

TUSSOCK CREEK BRANCH In spite of unfavourable weather there was a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Tussock Creek branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. Mrs W. Shaw presided. An invitation to the eighth birthday of the Ryal Bush branch was received and also a circular letter on conscription, which found the majority of members in favour of it.

The competitions for the day resulted: Pot of raspberry jam, Mrs C. Campbell 1, Mrs J, Macpherson and Miss P. Smith equal 2, Miss J. Lightfoot 3. Best bloom, Miss O. Adamson 1, Miss E. Macpherson 2, Miss I. Adamson 3. The hostesses were Mrs Thomas and Miss I. Adamson.
