DIVIDENDS DECLARED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 19. North Broken Hill has advised by cable the declaration of a dividend at the rate of 6d a share, payable in Melbourne on March 29. The Cascade-Westport Coal Company Ltd. has declared an interim dividend of 63d a share, equal to 3J per cent, and payable on February 21. The transfer books are not closing. MINING HALF-MONTHLY RETURNS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 19. Gold Mines of New Zealand Ltd. advise the following half-monthly dredge returns for February:— Barrytown, 223 hours, 80,000 yards, 546 ounces. Kanieri, 241 hours, 120,000 yards and 501 ounces. Arahura, 279 hours, 180,000 yards, 1340 ounces. GILLESPIE’S BEACH (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, February 19. The Gillespie’s Beach wash-up for the week was 320 z 4dwt for 132 hours from 15,600 yards. CLUTHA :RIVER (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, February 19. The Clutha River Dredge reports a return for the week of 50ozs for 126 hours. OKARITO DREDGE (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, February 19. The Okarito Dredge return totalled lOoz, 16dwt for 114 hours.
