MAGISTRATE’S COURT

THURSDAY (Before Mr C. C. Lange, J.P.) Edward Basil Thomas Finn, aged 21 years, a labourer, appeared on a charge of obtaining from Charles Griffiths, of Brass Brothers, with intent to defraud, goods and money to the value of £2/10/-, by falsely representing that a cheque for £2/10/- drawn on the Bank of New Zealand at Otautau, and signed R. Muir was a good and valid order for that amount.

On the application of Detective-Ser-geant R. Thompson, the accused was remanded until this morning.
