GREAT NORTH CHINA TROUPE

FINAL PERFORMANCE IN CIVIC THEATRE The Great North China Troupe gave its final performance in Invercargill last night. The performance was brilliant in every respect and in its mysterious atmosphere of Oriental splendour it presented a spectacle of colour that should leave a lasting impression. The staging effects gave an added touch of mystery. The performers gave a finished presentation and held the interest of the spectators throughout. The acrobats, jugglers, conjurers and singers made the show one of the most remarkable

performances seen in Invercargill. Several European variety acts were included in addition to the Chinese acts. One of the outstanding turns was the ventriloquist act of Royston and his two dolls. The young Chinese Bobby Breen was also popular.
