Anzac Day is included as a holiday and the award provides that if any of the listed holidays fall on a Sunday they Will be observed on the following day. Wandering Stock

The large number of wandering stock to be seen on Southland roads at present was the subject of a complaint by a motorist to The Southland Times yesterday. “They are a serious menace to motorists,” he said, and only the other day half-a-dozen lambs ran out of the long grass in front of me. I have seen lambs that have been killed in many parts of the province, but it is conceivable that one day the boot will be on the other foot and a motorist wifi, be killed.”.
