SOUTHLAND TEAM TO GO TO DUNEDIN COUNTRY WEEK BEGINS ON NOVEMBER 21 A Southland cricket team will be sent to Dunedin for the Country Week cricket fixtures, according to a decision of the management committee of the Southland Cricket Association at its last meeting. Country Week in Dunedin will be held between November 21 and November 24. The sole selector (Dr G. H. Uttley) was asked to select 12 players after Saturday, November 11. The secretary reported that 32 players from city and country clubs had been nominated for selection. \ The Junior Advisory Committee recommended Messrs W. T. Baker, A. T. Begg and J. R. Bell as junior selectors and their appointment' as the junior selection committee was confirmed. There were present: Mr R. Taylor (chairman), and Messrs J. S. Brass, G. Agnew, R. Swinney, H. Alabaster, H. P. Fougere, T. V. Mahoney, E. G. Luzmoor, A. S. Hogg. W. T. Baker and the honorary secretary (Mr A. J. HamilThe Southland Technical College wrote advising the committee of its inability to enter a team in the thirdgrade competition. The Railway Club notified, that it 'would have to withdraw its junior B team from the competition. Transfers were granted as follows: M. H. Morrison from Union to Georgetown, W. H. Lees from Ponsonby-Bal-moral to Invercargill. J. Boniface was granted a regrade from junior B to third grade. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY The following fixtures were approved for Saturday: . SENIOR.—OId Boys v. Invercargill, at High School. Union v. Bluff, at Appleby ground, Marist v. Appleby, at Marist School. JUNIOR A.—Old Boys v. High School, at High School, Marist v. Union, at Queen’s Park No. 2, Invercargill v. Railway, at Biggar street east, Riverton v. Appleby, at Biggar street west. JUNIOR B. —Waikiwi v. Old Boys, at High School, Borstal v. Bluff, at Borstal, Georgetown v. Appleby, at Queen’s Park No. 1, Invercargill, a bye. THIRD GRADE.—High A v. Marist, at Marist School, High B v. Appleby, at High School, Georgetown a bye.
