WAIAU DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB At a meeting of the Waiau Defence Rifle Club, Mr P. Hamilton presided over a fair attendance of members. The secretary reported that he had received a letter from the Defence Department stating that no ammunition would be available to rifle clubs until further notice. After considerable discussion it was decided that the club should suspend activities indefinitely, or until advised by the Defence Department that rifles and ammunition would again be available.
The range and equipment are now almost complete and the financial statement showed that the club has a credit balance of £l5/10/-.
