ATTENDANCES WELL MAINTAINED
MISSION OF FRIENDSHIP Although it was the late night in the city attendances at all the Mission of Friendship services were surprisingly well maintained last night. At First Church Professor J. A. Allan, M.A., took for his subject, “The Essential Christian Facts.” At St. Paul’s Church the Rev. H. A. Mitchell, 8.A., spoke on “The Life Everlasting.’ The Rev. R. S. Watson, M.C., was the speaker at North Invercargill, taking for his topic, “Christ as Lord.” At Knox Church the Rev. Dr Hunter was again the preacher; and at St. Andrew’s Church the missioner was the Rev. S. T. Nicholls, B.A. The missioners will conduct the morning services in the Presbyterian Churches of the city tomorrow, and in the evening the mission concludes with a procession of the congregations of the five Presbyterian Churches through the city to the Civic Theatre, where a combined service will be held. The speaker will be the Rev. R. S. Watson, M.C.
Arrangements have been made for overflow meetings to be held in the Victoria concert chamber, and if need be, at First Church. In the event of these overflow meetings being necessary Professor Hunter will speak at the Victoria concert chamber, and the Rev. H. A. Mitchell at First Church.
