INJURIES RESULT IN DEATH

CYCLING ACCIDENT AT NAPIER (United Press Association) NAPIER, October 13. Injuries sustained in an accident at Napier yesterday resulted in the death in hospital this morning of John Boyd, a middle-aged man. He was cycling down a steep incline in Goldsmith road when a tyre blew out. He lost control, the machine ran over a bank and he was thrown into the backyard of a house below the road. His injuries included concussion, spinal injury and partial paralysis. An inquest will be held. HAND BADLY CUT William Young, a single man, aged 27, of Hollyford, was admitted to the Southland Hospital yesterday suffering from severe lacerations on the left hand. He cut his hand on a tin roof while working at Hollyford. His condition is stated to be satisfactory.
