FREIGHTS ADVANCED BY 50 PER CENT.
OVERSEAS SHIPPING LINES (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 13. Associated overseas shipping lines in the New Zealand '.rade have been advised from London that all homeward freights on both refrigerated and general cargo are advanced by 50 per cent., instead of 25 per cent. These rates apply forthwith, but a vessel which is already loading shall charge the existing rates for all cargo being shipped at her present loading port, and the increased rates will apply at her subsequent loading ports.
