SALE OF N.Z. WOOL TO BRITAIN

NEGOTIATIONS NEARING FINALITY (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 13. The Minister of Marketing (the Hon W. Nash) stated tonight that the negotiations with the United Kingdom Government for the purchase of New Zealand wool are approaching finality. Details of the procedure are still under discussion and when these are completed regulations will be gazetted providing for the purchase by the New Zealand Government of all wool for the purposes of New Zealand and the United Kingdom. In the meantime, the Wool Regulations which temporarily prohibit the sale or other disposal of wool and which were due to expire tomorrow have been extended. They will be revoked when the new wool purchase regulations come into operation.
