SALESMAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE

THEFT FROM COMPANY (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 11. Formerly manager of the Wellington Motors Ltd., John Grendon Phillips, aged 45, a salesman, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court today to the theft of money totalling £306/9/8 the property of the company, which, it was stated, was now out of existence. The accused was committed for sentence and a confession, volunteered to Detective-Sergeant Murray, was produced.
