MASS MEETING OF FARMERS TO DISCUSS QUESTION (United Press Association) ASHBURTON, May 26. After a long discussion on the subject of free exchange versus pegged exchange the Mid-Canterbury conference of the Farmers’ Union by 19 votes to 10 decided to refer the question to a mass meeting of farmers. The Dominion president (Mr W. W. Mulholland) gave an address on the position of the agricultural industry. Mr C. A. Campion was elected provincial president.
