BLOMFIELD BEATS CLARKE (United Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, May 25. Before a capacity house this evening “Lofty” Blomfield secured a points decision over “Dazzler” Clarke after the score had been a fall each at the end of the sixth round. Clarke secured the first fall in the fifth round after a succession of short, but weighty, tackles and Blomfield evened in the sixth after dumping Clarke, who injured a shoulder when Blomfield ducked under a tackle.
