INTOXICATED MOTORIST
FINE OF £25 IMPOSED (United Press Association) HAMILTON, May 25. “These cases are regarded by. the Court as being very serious ahd rightly so, for the potentialities arising out of intoxication while in charge of a motorvehicle are great indeed,” said Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today when imposing a fine of £25 and the cancellation of his driver’s licence until June 1, 1940, upon Fergus lan Fairbrother, aged 41, a stock buyer, of Cambridge, who pleaded guilty to intoxication while in charge of a motorcar after the Te Rapa races on Saturday.
