NAZI PROTESTS TO POLAND
Version Of Incident Rejected RECALL OF DIPLOMATS DEMANDED (United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright) (Received May 25,11.10 p.m.) LONDON, May 25. The Nazi Danzig Senate sent two Notes to Poland yesterday, the first emphatically rejecting the Polish account of the Kalthof incident and the second demanding the recall from Danzig of two Polish diplomats, one of whom is the Customs inspector who investigated the incident. The Nazi leader of the Senate (Herr Albert Foerster) has arrived at Danzig from Berlin with a wreath from Herr Hitler for the funeral of Herr Gruebner, the victim of the incident. The Senate has also protested to Poland that shots were fired at a German chauffeur, who was not hit, when he was passing Polish Customs officers while driving from Elbing to Danzig. The Polish Commissioner-General (M. Chodacki) has sent a Note to the Senate demanding a new Customs house at Kalthof to replace the wrecked building. He also draws the attention of the Senate to the inactivity of the Danzig police during the Kalthof incidents, and has reserved the right to present other demands aimed at securing the safety of Polish Customs houses and officers. In Warsaw the police have banned news reels showing Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini.
