NEW MANUFACTURING PLANTS
ANNOUNCEMENT BY MINISTER (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 13. Industrial developments mentioned in a statement by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) include an Australian firm to establish a New Zealand carpet subsidiary, using all-New Zealand wool, a factory at Auckland for steel wheelbarrows, and a firm undertaking (o manufacture bakers’ machine equipment. Other activities cover the manufacture of shoes, furs and various wearing apparel.
