NEW ZEALANDERS’ WAR FEAT RECALLED

CAPTURE OF LE QUESNOY IN 1918

(Received May 13, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 12. The Lille correspondent of The Times says that in the presence of political and military dignitaries, the New Zealand High Commissioner in London (Mr W J. Jordan), who is on his way tj Geneva, oresented Le Quesnoy, whicl the New Zealanders captured in 1918, with the New Zealand flag and the pennant of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade. A military review followed, after which wreaths were laid on a monument commemorating 93 New Zealand officers and men in the “Garden of Remembrance.”
