HAZARDS OF NIGHT DRIVING

INVESTIGATIONS AT OTAGO UNIVERSITY The Otago University’s investigations into night driving hazards, to which the Minister of Transport (the Hon. R. Semple) referred in a statement printed on Saturday, are being conducted by the Psychology Department’s research worker, Mr W. R. Geddes, under the supervision of Mr H. H. Ferguson, lecturer in psychology. Mr Ferguson stated on Saturday that work had been started only two months ago, and it might not be completed for two years. “It is a very obscure field, Mr Ferguson added. “Relatively little has been done up to the present, and a great deal of pioneering work will be required. We do not know what we shall find, but by the end of the present University session we should know what our problems are.”
