HOUSE DESTROYED AT NIGHTCAPS

LITTLE SAVED IN EARLY MORNING FIRE

A six-roomed house at Nightcaps, owned and occupied by Miss B. Johnstone, was totally destroyed by fire which broke out at about 7.45 o’clock yesterday morning. Miss Johnstone, an elderly woman, was in her night attire and escaped hurriedly from the burning building. She was able to save very few of her belongings. The cause of the fire is not known. The house and contents were covered by insurance, but the amount was not available yesterday.
