WOMAN’S CHANGE OF CONSTITUENCY

ALLEGATION BY LABOUR NEWSPAPER (Received April 18, 6.30 p.m,) LONDON, April 17. The political editor of The Daily Herald, announcing the decision of Mrs H. B. Tate, Conservative member of the House of Commons for Frome (Somerset) that she will not contest the seat at the next election because she intends to find a less costly constituency, says that she has apparently decided it will be impossible to resist a strong challenge from the Labour candidate, Mr R. W. G. Mackay, a former Sydney solicitor, who was only 994 votes behind her at the last election.
