THEFTS FROM TOWN BOARD OFFICES

SAFE BLOWN OPEN AND £43 STOLEN (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 17. Thieves entered the Taukau Town Board offices early yesterday morning by smashing a panel in the front door. They blew open the safe in the strongroom and stole £43 in notes and silver. After gaining entrance on the bottom floor of the Town Hall building they forced the door leading to the Town Board offices with a jemmy-. The money stolen includes five pound, pound and 10 shilling notes.
