BASKETBALL CLUB At the annual meeting of the Seaward Downs Basketball Club, Mr H. P. Bryant presided over a good attendance. The annual report stated that the club had had a very successful season, both the A and B teams winning their, competitions. The A team also won the fourth grade competition in the King’s Birthday tournament held at Invercargill.

The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory credit balance. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr H. P. Bryant; vice-presi-dent, Miss K. Morton; secretary and treasurer, Miss L. Drysdale; committee, president, vice-president, secretary. Misses G. McCormack, I. Morton, £>. Donnelly, R. Morton, J. Preston, M. Mawdsley, J. Hawke and Mrs Bryant; coach, Mr Bryant; referees, Mrs Bryant, and Mr Bryant;- delegates to association, Mr Bryant, Miss K. Morton and Miss G. McCormack.
