CHARGE OF OMITTING TO ACCOUNT

COMMITTAL TO SUPREME COURT FOR SENTENCE (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 13. Pleading guilty to a charge of fraudulently omitting to account for or pay sums totalling £lOO to the Dromorne Linen Company, thereby committing theft, James Archibald Henry Hareman, aged 29, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. “My reason for not paying the money into the office was that I was in debt,” Hareman said in a statement produced by the police. “I paid these debts with the money collected and then bet on a racehorse to try to get the money back. The money has been all spent and I am unable to make restitution.”
