WINTON Miss Alys Hewitt has returned to her home in Winton, after staying in Invercargill. Mr and Mrs D. Gilmour, of Invercargill, spent the Easter holidays with Mrs R. M. Gilmour, Park street. Mr and Mrs W. McDermott, Albert street, have returned from a holiday in Christchurch. Miss I. Jenkins, of Invercargill, spent the week-end with Miss T. Valli. East Winton.

Mrs P. de la Perrelle, Park street, left last week to spend a holiday in Wellington. Miss C. Blamires, of Tapanui, spent the week-end with Mrs P- Boylen, Great North road. Mrs D. Robb and her family; New road, spent the Easter holidays at Lumsden as the guests of Mrs S. J. Pierce. Miss Marion Tilley, Great North road, spent a few days in Dunedin last week.

Miss M. Anderson was a visitor to Gore for the week-end. Mesdames E. Clark and M. McKenzie, of Invercargill, have been the guests of Mrs W. Norman, Forest Hill.

Mrs J. Harvey and her family. Great North road, spent th . Easter holidays at The Rocks, Riverton. Mrs J. Blackmun, of Lady Barkly, has returned from an extended holiday on the West Coast. Mrs S. Clough, of Timaru, has been the guest of her mother, Mrs W. McDermott, Albert .street. Mr and Mrs J. H. Thomson, of Invercargill, spent the Easter holidays with their daughter, Mrs W. Swale, Limehills.

Mr and Mrs R. M. Gilmour. Park street, are on holiday in Waimate. Mr and Mrs G. Adams, of Milton, are the guests of Mrs J. W. Egerton, East Winton.

Miss A. Moore, of Dunedin, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs F. Moore, Clyde street. Miss E. Boylen, G-eat North road, spent Easter week-end in Dunedin. Mr and Mrs G. Duncan, of Dunedin, are the guests of Mrs A. Nicholson, Devereux road.

Miss M. Hughes, of Taramoa, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs H. Taylor, Great North road. Miss H. Collett, of Dunedin, is staying at Drummond. Misses H. and J. Nicholson, Devereux road, spent Easter week-end at Clinton.

Miss T. Ward was a visitor to Queenstown last week. Mr and Mrs R. B. Wilson, Great North road, spent the Easter holidays at Fortrose.

Mrs D. F. O’Malley and Miss Mollie O’Malley, formerly of Winton and now of Wanganui, are the guests of Miss Kelly, South Hillend. Mr and Mrs E. Cowie, of Invercargill, have been the guests of Mrs T. MacGillivray, Lady Barkly. Miss D. Cowan, of Drummond, was a visitor to Stewart Island for Easter.

Miss Ruth Graham is visiting friends in Invercargill. WAIMATUKU Misses M. Legg and T. Bracks, of Dunedin, were the guests of Mr and Mrs G. Galt for the Easter holidays. Mrs J. Evans has returned from Auckland. Mrs McAra of Nith street, was the guest of Mrs W. Strang, jun., for the week-end. Mr and Mrs J. McHardy and Miss Elizabeth McHardy, of Invercargill, spent the Easter holidays in Waimatuku. Mrs N. W. Buxton and her two children, of Timaru, were the guests of Mr and Mrs S. Buxton, Eastbourne Park, recently. Miss Margaret Strang spent the weekend in Queenstown.

Miss M. Strang, of Dunedin, visited her parents for the holidays. Mr S. Buxton is staying in Timaru. Misses A. and G. Matchett visited Queenstown recently.
