WINTON Miss Alys Hewitt has returned to her home in Winton, after staying in Invercargill. Mr and Mrs D. Gilmour, of Invercargill, spent the Easter holidays with Mrs R. M. Gilmour, Park street. Mr and Mrs W. McDermott, Albert street, have returned from a holiday in Christchurch. Miss I. Jenkins, of Invercargill, spent the week-end with Miss T. Valli. East Winton.

Mrs P. de la Perrelle, Park street, left last week to spend a holiday in Wellington. Miss C. Blamires, of Tapanui, spent the week-end with Mrs P- Boylen, Great North road. Mrs D. Robb and her family; New road, spent the Easter holidays at Lumsden as the guests of Mrs S. J. Pierce. Miss Marion Tilley, Great North road, spent a few days in Dunedin last week.

Miss M. Anderson was a visitor to Gore for the week-end. Mesdames E. Clark and M. McKenzie, of Invercargill, have been the guests of Mrs W. Norman, Forest Hill.

Miss M. Hughes, of Taramoa, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs H. Taylor, Great North road. Miss H. Collett, of Dunedin, is staying at Drummond. Misses H. and J. Nicholson, Devereux road, spent Easter week-end at Clinton.

Evans has returned from Auckland. Mrs McAra of Nith street, was the guest of Mrs W. Strang, jun., for the week-end. Mr and Mrs J. McHardy and Miss Elizabeth McHardy, of Invercargill, spent the Easter holidays in Waimatuku. Mrs N. W. Buxton and her two children, of Timaru, were the guests of Mr and Mrs S. Buxton, Eastbourne Park, recently. Miss Margaret Strang spent the weekend in Queenstown.
