WOMEN’S DIVISION

GROVE BUSH BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Grove Bush branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the hall. There was a good attendance. The roll call was: “An original verse about the division.”

Mrs Hunter, of Invercargill, who was present by invitation, gave a talk on her recent trip abroad. She was given an attentive hearing and at the conclusion was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The results of the competitions were: Best bloom: Mrs Paul 1, Mrs Warden 2, Mrs Cooper 3. Sultana scones: Mrs Walsh 1, Mrs Paul 2, Mrs Brazier 3. Best carrots: Miss K. Bragg 1, Mrs Walsh 2, Mrs Cooper 3.
