HARDSHIP ON FRANCO-ITALIAN BORDER (Received March 13, 6.30 p.m.) NICE, March 12. Thousands of Jewish men, women and children whom the fascist militia have expelled from Italy en masse are wandering along the Alpine passes to France, suffering from cold and hunger. The French authorities at Mentone gave accommodation to 200, and 150 reached Monte Carlo; many were admitted to hospital.
