N.Z. TRAINEES FOR DUNTROON

FIVE CADETS TO TAKE MILITARY COURSE

WELLINGTON, February 10.

Five New Zealand cadets have been selected to attend a three years’ course at the Royal Military College at Duntroon (Australia) with a view to qualifying as officers in the New Zealand military forces.

They are: F. B. Chennells (Christchurch), J. B. McGregor and J. A McPherson (Dunedin), B. F« Sceats (Gisborne) and R. J. H. Webb (Nelson College). In announcing the names tonight, tKe Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) said the selections were in accordance with the Government’s policy of close co-operation with Australia in defence matters.
