Magistrate’s Court Cases In the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, a fine of £25 was imposed on Victor George Brewer, aged 58, a porter, for carrying on business as a bookmaker. Robert Ernest Larkin, aged 43, a salesman, pleaded guilty to the theft of 10/- by the process known as “ringing the changes,” which he practiced on a woman selling art union tickets. He was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment.—Press Association.
