CHECK ON NEWS FROM ITALY

LONDON, December 13.

It has been announced that the recent regulation against collaboration by Italian journalists with foreign newspapers and agencies will first be applied to all Italians receiving salaries from foreign newspapers or agencies, which means that about 20 correspondents will have to resign their posts. Cases of occasional contributors, it is added, will be judged individually on their merits.

The purpose of the regulation, says the Rome correspondent of The Times, is clearly to control more closely in-**' formation sent abroad about Italy.
