THE POPE IN GOOD SPIRITS
HEAVY DUTIES RESUMED AFTER ILLNESS VATICAN CITY, November 27. Dr Milani examined the Pope this morning and found him in excellent spirits. His Holiness insisted, on rising and celebrating Mass in his private chapel. Later he was carried to the library, where in an armchair he received 10 Church dignitaries in succession and then 400 Hungarian pilgrims. The British United Press correspondent says that the Pope insisted on carrying out these heavy duties to show Catholics throughout the world that there was no need for anxiety about his health.
