OHAI

LATE FALL OF SNOW Snow to a depth of two inches fell in Ohai on Monday evening and, as a (result, many gardens which were well forward suffered heavily. Fortunately favourable weather on Tuesday was responsible for an early, thaw and the overcast conditions that evening no doubt prevented a frost, as the surrounding foothills and the Takitimu mountains were covered with snow.

Reports state that the last November snow in Ohai was on November 17, 1929, the day of the Linton mine explosion.
