NEW STREET IN TOWN Gore will have a new street within a short time. The work of installing a sewer and a water main to serve the new State houses being erected on the saleyards site is being carried out and when this is finished the work of forming a street across the area in an easterly direction for approximately six chains will be started. The street, which will be a blind one, will be 50 feet wide at the Broughton street .end and 72 feet in width at the other end. On each comer of the street there will be a double unit dwelling and on each side of the street six houses are to be erected. The remaining portion of the saleyards area will accommodate 10 houses. At the present time seven dwellings are in course of construction.
