MASONIC GRAND LODGE

Opening Of Annual Communication LORD GALWAY CHOSEN AS MASTER (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, November 22. The annual communication' of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand opened in the Masonic Temple this morning. There are 302 lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge and practically all of these were represented either by sitting masters or delegates. The first item of importance was the election of Grand Master. The unanimous choice of the lodges was the Governor-General (Lord Galway), whose reappointment was duly confirmed and he thus enters upon his third term of office as head of the craft in the Dominion. The elective officers were chosen as follows under the scheme of distribution submitted by the Board of General Purposes.. As the grand secretary’s office for the next two years is to be situated in Christchurch, having just been removed from Dunedin, the principal executive officers are selected from this district:—
