LOADING OF VESSELS DELAYED BY RAIN

WORK AT SYDNEY HAMPERED SYDNEY, October 26. Considerable rain has fallen in Sydney since Monday, hampering the loading of vessels in port. New Zealand ships affected are the Awatea, which left five hours late tonight; the Aorangi, whose sailing tomorrow has been postponed from 4 p.m. to midnight ; and the freighter, Kaimiro, which will be unable to sail until tomorrow, a day and a-half behind schedule. The rain, however, which is continuing, has proved most beneficial throughout New South Wales. A most successful cropping and pastoral season is assured.
