BRITISH PURCHASE OF RUMANIAN WHEAT
RESERVE FOR TIME OF WAR (Received October 27, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 26. The Financial News understands that the British Government last week purchased 200,000 tons of Rumanian wheat, at a cost of £1,000,000, for storage by the Food Defence Department as an addition to the country’s war reserve of wheat, which now exceeds 750,000 tons.
