TELEPHONE CALL COSTS LIFE OF PATIENT
WRONG MEDICINE GIVEN BY DOCTOR (Received October 27, 6.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, October 26. A telephone call costing the life of a civic hospital patient was revealed at the inquest on Mrs Abraham Azar. A nurse, Eunice Paul, testified that the doctor gave the wrong medicine and she had supplied it while she answered the telephone before having the opportunity to consult him.
