CLUB COMPETITIONS The Southland clubs’ croquet. competition matches were begun in fine weather. The Gore Club’s A team visited Invercargill and beat Southland A and at Gore the Southend junior team beat the Gore juniors. • FLEMING SHIELD In the Fleming Shield competition Gore A beat Southland A by five games to four.'
