AUSTRALIAN’S IMPRESSION OF LABOUR SINCERITY 4 SYDNEY, October 26. Mr John Spence, the New South Wales Auditor-General, on his return from an official tour of New Zealand said he would make ? detailed report to the Premier (Mr B. S. B. Stevens) on New Zealand’s price-fixiqg arrangements for primary products. Mr Spence said he was impressed, by the sincerity of the Dominion Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) 1 and the members of his Cabinet, whatever the outcome of their policy might be.
He added that so far as a visitor could judge in a short tour New Zealand seemed to be prosperous. He had had conversations with 30 or 40 commercial men in the Dominion and many of them had frankly expressed fears about the future.
