REFERENDUM SUGGESTED FOR GENERAL ELECTION
(United Press Association) GREYMOUTH, July 17. The Westland provincial branch of the Farmers’ Union adopted a remit? moved by Mr P. J. O’Regan, jun, of Inangahua, that a referendum be taken at the next general election on the proposed national health and superannuation scheme. Another remit that in the distribution of the surplus in the dairy industry account, the butter sold on the local market participate equally with export butter was also earned.
