A silk jersey of extremely fine texture is used in this Paquin model of bright purple shade which is shown on the left. All the fullness is in front. There is a wide corselet belt and the neckline is a deep “V." In the cent re is a dainty Lanvin evening gown of white tulle embroidered and appliqued in gold kid. In decided contrast is the sleek dinner-gown on rig ht, which was designed by Molyneux. It has invisible fastenings down the centre front and is opened at the hemline. A black upturned hat prov ides just the right finish to a remarkable gown.
