The suspension of C. G. Goulsbro for six months at Wanganui last week assures L. J. Ellis of the jockey’s premiership for the season. Ellis had a double-figure lead over Goulsbro at the time and with only two months of the season to go it was extremely doubtful if Goulsbro could have finished on top. B. H. Morris is at present third on the. list, but he is 30 behind Ellis VO Gnuknro.
