Royal Air Force To Be Replaced
IMPORTANT INNOVATION IN BRITISH FLEET
(United Press Assn—Telegraph Copyright) (Received February 18, 6.30 pan.) LONDON, February 17. An important innovation announced by the Admiralty is that the Navy is to have a special corps of its own flying officers, to replace the Royal Air Force. The personnel must be British subjects of pure European descent, unmarried, and must serve seven years, after which they will be liable to war service for eight years. It will be the first corps of the kind in any fleet.
