GENERAL ALKSNIS REMOVED FROM COMMAND MOSCOW, February 15. Mention in the newspaper Izvestia of the presence of the new Chief of the Air Force, General Liktionov, at the funeral of the victims of the airship disaster reveals for the first time the removal of General Ygakov Alksnis who, it is believed, fell from favour before the Soviet elections.
