MOANA C GRADE.—Miss Marshall, Mrs Branks, Misses Southern and Strang; Hunt, Marshall, Gawith, Smith. BROMWICH BEATS MAKO AT ADELAIDE (Received January 13, 10.25 p.m.) ADELAIDE, January 13. J. D. Budge, the American champion, was unable to play in today’s tennis matches. He suffered a mild attack of influenza. Budge will make no decision about the offer to turn professional until he returns to the United States in March. The results of today’s match were: — J. Bromwich defeated C. G. Mako (United States) 7-5, 7-5, 7-5. Bromwich was 5-2 down in the second set but won the next five games. There were no outstanding features in the play. Mako appeared to be feeling the heat, which reached 87.9 degrees.
