Brownrigg, Military Secretary to the Secretary for War, becomes a lieutenant-general, and other appointments to the rank of lieutenant-general are those of MajorGeneral Sir Ronald Adam, DeputyChief of the Imperial General Staff and Major-General R. There are also quite a number of appointments to the rank of majorgeneral. The appointments, in which the ages of the officers promoted range from 46 to 53, develop the policy of the Secretary for War (Mr L.
