LUNATIC ASYLUM ON FIRE
PANIC AMONG FRENCH INMATES (Received December 27, 6.30 p.m. ) PARIS, December 26. At least eight lives were lost in a fire after Christmas celebrations at the Montredon lunatic asylum near Le Puy, which has accommodation for 3000. The to the violent section, causing panic among 100 inmates. Attendants aided by the firemen and mobile guards controlled and rescued the majority. Twelve inmates escaped during the panic.
