USEFUL SOUTHLAND CONTINGENT FORM AS GUIDE FOR LATER MEETINGS Although the Southland contingent for the opening of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting today is not a strong one, numerically, it is quite a • useful one and some of the local representatives appear capable of making a good showing. Good material will parade at Wingatui. The win and place system of betting will operate and the first race is timed to start at 12 noon. Southland patrons will be able to see the full day’s racing and return by the evening’s express.The following horses will be supported :— OTOKAI HURDLES.—Last Link, Burwood, Superex.
